Milwaukee – July 2, 2012 – The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. is pleased to announce the addition of
Daniel Geraghty
to its Corporate Practice Group, where he serves as leader of the firm’s Federal Tax Controversy & Litigation Team.
Geraghty focuses his practice on complex federal, international and state tax issues in both planning and controversy matters. He has represented numerous corporations, partnerships and individuals in a wide variety of matters in tax audits, administrative appeals and litigation. In addition to controversy matters, Geraghty has focused on complex business transactions including purchases, sales, mergers, divestitures and restructurings. As part of his focus on international tax matters, he has assisted numerous clients in structuring offshore activities through expansion or acquisition of existing businesses. He has also assisted numerous foreign businesses in structuring their U.S. activities. Geraghty is one of few attorneys who both structures international transactions and defends taxpayers in international tax audits.
“Dan’s hiring brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the firm’s Federal Tax Controversey & Litigation Team,” says WHD Chief Executive Paul Eberle. “He also adds excellent expertise in an area of law our clients need, and strengthens the firm’s already exceptional corporate practice.”
Geraghty is also a Certified Public Accountant. He received his B.B.A.,

, Order of the Coif, from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Geraghty is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
